POST SECONDARY EDUCATION SCHOLARSHIPS:

• We are awarding $5000 CASH in Post Secondary education scholarships. Applications are available on our website homepage. Follow our Instagram account @bedancecomp to BE sure you don’t miss us announcing the winners! Who knows they might even be in your Be Dance city.
  
  

BEST OF BE AWARDS:

• On Sunday evening we close out our final awards ceremony with the BEST OF BE AWARDS. These awards are determined by the average score after combining the five highest scores from each studio in the following categories: tap, jazz/open, contemporary/modern/lyrical, hip hop, ballet, musical theatre/song & dance/specialty and acro. Winning studios will receive the prestigious BEST OF BE title and flag to bring home to their studio, plus a cash award.

Scholarship awards:

Be Dance is proud to award its participants with as many learning opportunities as possible through our Scholarship Awards program.

Notable awards:

• Top routine of the session (Competitive Division & Part-Time/Novice Divisions) – BE a Star Award
• Up to TOP 15 overall solo dancers will be awarded in each of four competitive age divisions: mini junior inter senior. Note: A dancer may place once in a solo overall division.
• Up to Top 5 overall groups in each size category and age division will be awarded
• Runner Up BE Award Winners in every division!
• All Group overall standings are determined by high score and awarded by studio

cash awards:

• CASH AWARDS in every Be Dance 2024 City!
• Note: All cash prizes will be awarded to the studio and not to the individual.

Session awards:

• 1st, 2nd and 3rd place & Acheivement awards for every category
  

SPECIAL AWARDS:

• “Choreography Award,” “Entertainment Award” and “Judge’s Choice Award.”
  (awarded at every session awards presentation)

COMPETITIVE DIVISION ADJUDICATORS CHOICE TEACHER AWARDS:

• Competitive MINI Choreography Award
• Competitive JUNIOR Choreography Award
• Competitive INTER Choreography Award
• Competitive SENIOR Choreography Award
• Technical Artistry Award

(will be presented to the teacher winners over the course of the weekend).

COMPETITIVE DIVISION OVERAL AWARDS:

• Top solos, duet/trios and groups (small group, large group, line) will be awarded across all four age divisions (mini junior inter senior).
• Group overall awards and BE Awards will be presented to the top scores by studio. (see below for BE Award description)
  

PART TIME COMPETITIVE OVERALL AWARDS:

• Overall Choreography award will be presented to the teacher.
• Be A Star Award at every awards session (this award includes the Novice division)
• BE Part Time Awards will be awarded for the 12 and under & 13 and up age divisions (See BE Awards below for details)
• Top solos will be awarded in each of 4 age divisions (Mini/Junior/Inter/Senior)
• Top duet/trios will be awarded in each of 4 age divisions (Mini/Junior/Inter/Senior)
• Top small groups, large groups and lines will be awarded in each of 4 age divisions (Mini/Junior/Inter/Senior)
• Group overall awards and BE Awards will be presented to the top scores by studio. (see below for BE Award description)



Novice overall award:

• Overall Choreography award will be presented to the teacher.
• Be A Star Award at every awards session (this award includes the Part-Time division)
• Top solos will be awarded in each of 4 age divisions (Mini/Junior/Inter/Senior)
• Top duet/trios will be awarded in each of 4 age divisions (Mini/Junior/Inter/Senior)
• Top groups will be awarded in each of 4 age divisions (Mini/Junior/Inter/Senior)

Production award:

• The Highest Scoring Production routine of the weekend will be awarded with a trophy and a cash prize.
  

THE "BE" AWARDS:

Will be awarded to the highest scoring group in each competitive division (mini junior inter senior). Part-Time BE Awards will be awarded to the highest scoring group in two combined divisions (mini/junior & inter/senior).

RUnner up - "BE" AWARDS:

In each division a Runner Up BE Award will be  presented to the second highest scoring from that division. Note: The Be Award winning studio in a division cannot win the runner up award in the same division.

ADJUDICATORS’ CHOICE GROUP AWARDS BY DISCIPLINE:

Discipline awards will be presented to group routines for excellence in a specific dance genre. The discipline awards are broken down by two age groupings: 12 & under and 13 & over.
